Josh has big brown eyes and short light brown hair that he will spike up with gel on special occasions. He has a fair complexion with freckles on his nose and under his eyes. Josh has a good sense of humor and gets a cute, sly grin on his face when he jokes around. Josh is very bright and has the ability to read above his grade level. Josh, who has a slow and deliberate way of talking, has made significant gains in increasing his speech and language abilities; and he continues to make important progress. Josh is currently engaged in individual and group work which is centered on increasing his self-confidence and being willing to talk about his feelings and thoughts. He is also working on strengthening his personal boundaries. Josh responds well to redirection. Sometimes Josh may feel a bit overwhelmed when in crowded or busy environments. At such times, he will want to go and sit by himself to give himself a change to get calm and regroup. Josh is a child who has experienced significant instability throughout his life and needs committed adoptive parents who will make sure that he has a supportive, stable, nurturing environment and strong advocacy. Josh is a delightful young man who has enchanted all of the people in his life. He will undoubtedly captivate his new family as soon as he comes home.
