Meet Leilonei

Leilonei (pronounced Ley-Lani) is full of life and curiosity, always wanting to explore and learn more about the world around her. According to her caseworker, she is a “silly goose,” and an absolute joy to be around. A complete jokester, Leilonei is the kind of kid who is always joking around and making people laugh. She loves to perform in front of an audience and is invigorated by making other people smile. Leilonei is incredibly empathetic and cares deeply about the people in her life, always making sure that everyone feels comfortable and happy.

One thing that keeps Leilonei busy? Burying herself in a good book! She is no stranger to setting book goals, discovering new tales, and getting lost in a world of literature. It’s no wonder she wanted to share some of her book recommendations with families.

It would be amiss to not emphasize Leilonei’s passion for animals. Leilonei loves all animals big and small, though dogs and guinea pics are her favorites. Leilonei has said that she’d love to be adopted by a family who lives on a farm so she can be a “farm girl.” An adoptive family who loves and cherishes animals and can continue to teach Leilonei how to properly care for them will be great. Though, Leilonei is also fine living in a more urban area where she can go to the mall and hang out with her friends.

Leilonei is very creative and loves doing crafts. Diamond art is a favorite pastime , and she also loves coloring and drawing fantasy creatures. Leilonei’s creative imagination is a huge part of her personality, and she’s drawn toward imaginative play. Playing around with makeup, particularly blush, lipstick, and colorful eye-shadow is also fun for Leilonei.

Currently finishing up 9th grade, Leilonei is doing well in her classes and is looking forward to starting high school next year. She has made a lot of progress with her education recently and loves science class. Positive reinforcement is really helpful for Leilonei. An adoptive family who can help Leilonei reach her goals in school will be beneficial for her.

Leilonei has a good relationship with her biological father and sister. An adoptive family who will support those bonds throughout her life will be essential. Leilonei's team is especially looking forward to hearing from Washington families but is also happy to chat with families in Northern Oregon and Western Idaho as well.

Leilonei is open to many different kinds of families . She is excited at the prospect of having siblings of any age, and dreams of the travels and adventures she'll embark on with her adoptive family. She is particularly excited to plan to trip to Disneyland or Disneyworld! An adoptive family who is big on structure and routine while balancing flexibility will be a great fit for her. Leilonei does really well when she is given options and thrives with positive reinforcement. Leilonei deserves an adoptive family who will always be there for her and who will guide her toward positive thinking and support her throughout her journeys in life.
