If there’s a ball lying around, Ray is bound to pick it up and learn how to play! Very sporty and athletic, Ray’s current favorite sports are baseball, football, and basketball. After recently going to a soccer game, however, he’s been starting to pick that up, too! Most recently, Ray has started playing baseball! Golf has also been on his radar.

Ray spent a lot of time this summer golfing with one of his advocates, Scott! Scott is impressed with Ray's swing and how much he's improved over time as a golfer.

Sports aren’t the only way that Ray keeps active. He also loves hanging out at skate parks, riding his scooter, and jumping on the trampoline. Ray is extremely adventurous and is always eager to be outside and moving around.

Not much of a city kid, Ray loves the landscape and quietness that the country has to offer. Ray has lived in a few cities before and has stated that he definitely prefers rural living. He’s a big outdoorsy person!

He recently attended a rodeo and loved it. Ray’s foster parents have reported that he recently spent his allowance to ride a mechanical bull – multiple times! He’s really interested in learning how to rope, and just everything in general about rodeo! No surprise, he’s a big fan of horses. But also, ATVs!

In the 7th grade, Ray is still figuring out what subjects interest him the most! A family who can support Ray’s academic journey and help him continue to improve all of his skills would be very beneficial for Ray.

Ray played a little game of "this or that," and told us his preferences on a number of different topics.

Ray is a social butterfly! He loves engaging with adults and making the people around him laugh with his great sense of humor. He’s very outgoing and has a great sense of self-awareness. Ray has no trouble communicating and conversing with the people in his life. He loves talking, sharing stories, and asking questions.

Ray is eager to be adopted! A family who will offer patience, understanding and support as Ray transitions into their family will be wonderful. Ray has some important and consistent biological connections in his life that his adoptive family will need to be able to help him maintain. If you feel like your family would be a good fit, and you’re ready to play ball, ride horses (or mechanical bulls!), explore and laugh with Ray, please reach out to us! We’re excited to find the adoptive family that Ray deserves.
